This Subscription & Refund Policy governs the purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund of Isaac Premium subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Subscription Tiers
Isaac is available in two tiers:
- Isaac Free — basic features available to all users at no cost;
- Isaac Premium — full access to all features, including advanced projection tools, PDF export, scenario comparison, and future premium features.
The specific features available in each tier are described in the app and may change over time. We will give reasonable notice of any material reduction in Premium features.
2. Corporate & Employer Subscriptions
Isaac may be made available through employer-sponsored arrangements (“Corporate Subscriptions”). Under a Corporate Subscription:
- your employer or organisation provides you with a promotional code that grants access to Isaac Premium at no personal cost to you;
- your account is associated with your employer’s organisation name, which is displayed in the app;
- access remains active for as long as your employer maintains the arrangement with us — if the arrangement ends, your access will revert to the Free tier;
- we may share aggregated, anonymised usage statistics (e.g. number of active users, feature adoption rates) with your employer, but we will never share your personal financial data, scenario details, or any individually identifiable information;
- your employer does not have access to any data you enter into the app — your financial planning information is private to you;
- Corporate Subscriptions are non-transferable between individuals or organisations; and
- if you leave the organisation, you may continue using the Free tier or purchase an individual subscription.
Corporate Subscription terms between Budgetwise Limited and the sponsoring organisation are governed by a separate agreement. In the event of any conflict between that agreement and this policy, this policy governs your individual rights as a user.
3. Billing & Auto-Renewal Disclosures
Isaac Premium is available as a recurring subscription at the following prices (or as otherwise displayed at the point of purchase):
- Monthly: £7.99 per month;
- Annual: £79.99 per year.
All subscriptions are billed through the relevant App Store Platform (Apple App Store or Google Play). By subscribing, you agree that:
- payment will be charged to your iTunes Account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase;
- your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date;
- the renewal charge will be applied to your account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price unless we have notified you of a price change;
- you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s account settings; and
- any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and inclusive of applicable VAT. Prices are subject to change with at least 30 days’ notice as described in Section 7 below. We do not directly handle or store payment card data.
4. Free Trials
Where a free trial is offered:
- the trial period and applicable subscription tier are displayed at the point of sign-up;
- you will not be charged during the trial period;
- if you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee;
- only one free trial is available per Apple ID or Google account; and
- free trials are non-transferable.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your Isaac Premium subscription at any time by:
- on iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, then selecting Isaac and tapping “Cancel Subscription”; or
- on Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions, then selecting Isaac and tapping “Cancel subscription”.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until then. No partial-period refunds are provided on cancellation except as required by law or App Store Platform policy.
6. Refunds
6.1 General
As subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests must be submitted directly to those platforms:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637
We do not process refunds directly. If a refund is approved by the platform, your Premium entitlement will be revoked.
6.2 Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013: You have a 14-day “cooling off” period from the date of purchase. However, by proceeding with a subscription and accessing Premium features immediately, you acknowledge and consent to us beginning supply of digital content immediately, which means you lose your right of cancellation under these Regulations once performance has begun. For free trials: you may cancel during the trial without charge, but the right of cancellation under the Regulations is waived upon commencement of the paid subscription. Consumer statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in this policy.
6.3 Exceptional Circumstances
We may, at our absolute discretion, issue refunds or credits in exceptional circumstances (e.g. extended Service outages affecting Premium features). Requests can be submitted to support@isaacmoney.com. Decisions are final and are not a precedent for future requests.
7. Price Changes
We will give you at least 30 days’ advance notice of any subscription price increase via in-app notification or email. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, your continued use constitutes acceptance. You will not be charged the new price until your next renewal date following the notice period.
8. Restore Purchases
If you change device or reinstall the app, you can restore your Premium subscription via the “Restore Purchases” option in the paywall or settings screen. Restoration is subject to the App Store Platform confirming an active entitlement.
9. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, the App Store Platform will typically retry the charge. During any failed-payment period your access to Premium features may be suspended. We are not responsible for fees or charges your bank may impose in connection with payment failures.
