This Cookie Policy explains how Budgetwise Limited uses cookies and similar tracking technologies in the Isaac application and on the Isaac website (www.isaacmoney.com). It applies alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites or applications to store information. Mobile apps may also use similar local storage technologies (such as AsyncStorage) that function analogously. In this policy “cookies” refers to all such technologies unless specified otherwise.
2. Technologies We Use
2.1 Essential / Strictly Necessary
These are required for the Service to function. They include:
- Authentication tokens — to keep you logged into your account;
- Session identifiers — to maintain your in-app session;
- Preference storage — to remember your chosen theme and other settings;
- Locally-stored scenario data (AsyncStorage) — your pension scenarios stored on-device.
Legal basis: these are strictly necessary for the Service and do not require your consent. They cannot be disabled without preventing the Service from functioning.
2.2 Functional
These enhance the Service by remembering your choices:
- Subscription entitlement cache (RevenueCat SDK) — avoids repeated entitlement checks;
- Onboarding completion flags — so we do not show you introductory screens repeatedly.
Legal basis: legitimate interests. We inform you about these technologies via this policy.
2.3 Analytics
Where we use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service (e.g. crash reporting, usage patterns), these collect anonymised or pseudonymised data only. We do not currently use third-party behavioural advertising trackers. Legal basis: consent. Where analytics are non-essential, we will seek your consent via an in-app prompt in jurisdictions where this is required.
2.4 Third-Party Technologies
Third-party SDKs integrated into the Service may set their own local data:
- RevenueCat SDK — subscription and entitlement management. RevenueCat’s privacy policy applies: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Expo / React Native runtime — technical libraries required for app functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
3. Your Choices
For strictly necessary technologies, you cannot opt out without disabling the Service. For analytics or non-essential technologies, you may:
- withdraw consent via the in-app privacy settings (where available);
- adjust your device’s privacy settings to limit ad tracking or identifier sharing;
- contact us at support@isaacmoney.com to request that we disable analytics processing for your account; or
- uninstall the app, which will remove all locally-stored data.
Note that some controls may be managed by the App Store Platform and are outside our direct control.
4. Website Cookies (isaacmoney.com)
If you visit our website, we may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies: for website security and session management;
- Analytics cookies: to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. page views, referrals). These require your consent and are controlled via our cookie consent banner; and
- No advertising or tracking cookies are used on our website.
You can manage website cookies via your browser settings or our consent management tool presented on your first visit.
5. Retention
Session cookies/tokens are deleted when you close the app or log out. Persistent local storage data is retained until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or request deletion. Analytics data is retained in anonymised form per the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Please check back periodically. Material changes will be notified to you via the app.
